2nd Care Package sent to Kate in Yulin

Today we sent our 2nd Care Package to Kate at the Yulin City Children's Welfare Institute.  We included toys, craft supplies and socks for the older children, bibs and Desitin Cream for the babies, sweets for the Nannies and 2 more disposable cameras.  We also made another photo album of more pictures of our family, our house and dogs, and the city of Memphis where Kate will live in the near future.  Dan, a friend from the Mooncake Foundation, told me that the Nannies would love to see the place where Kate is going to live.  Caroline also painted some special artwork to send to her sister and I wrote a personal note to the Orphanage Director and Nannies that care for Kate.  Jingjing graciously translated it into Mandarin for me to enclose with the package.  The package is due to arrive in Yulin around June 21st.

We received new photos of Kate today.  They were taken yesterday at the Yulin Children's Welfare Institute where Kate lives now. The Nanny holding her is named Tian Yanxia.  In a couple of the photos she is holding the little photo album that we sent her in our first care package with pictures of Sean, Caroline and me labeled in Chinese characters with the words "Mommy", "Daddy" and "Sister".  Jingjing wrote me that she taught Kate how to say Mommy, Daddy and Sister!  My heart just melted when I saw those pictures of her a world a way...holding pictures of her new family!  Wow!

Thank you Lord, for your angels in China who are caring for our sweet baby!!

Thank you Lord, for this beautiful child of yours and the love and connection we feel for her even before we have actually met her!   

Thank you Lord, for children...they are truly a gift from God!

Please keep praying for Kate and our family as we prepare to go to China...still don't have actual dates...but thinking end of July or August!
